Development of a Voting Advice Application for Sustainable Democracy as well as Measuring its Effectiveness

In this Kakenhi Type A project, we aim to verify the effects of voting advice applications, which have been increasingly used in Japanese elections in recent years, based on experimental survey designs. While there is a certain amount of empirical research examining the effects of voting advice applications, few studies involve experimental designs with random assignment.

JSPS Kakenhi Grant Type A (2026-2030), lead by Prof. Airo Hino, Waseda University, together with Profs Uwe Serdült, Teppei Yamamoto, Tetsuya Matsubayashi, Masahisa Endo, Hanako Omura, and Masahiro Zenkyo.
